Support Engineer
Mitrionics, a global leader in FPGA accelerated computing is expanding its presence in North America. To support our growing customer base we are hiring Support Engineers. Applicant must enjoy working directly with customers to answer questions and resolve problems.
Job Description
- Benchmarking, consultation, and software technical support to scientists and users
- Work on diverse application domains and solve technical issues
- In-depth performance analysis of existing scientific applications, and rewriting time critical loops in Mitrion-C
- Work with our development engineers to isolate tool chain problems
- Assist in the timely resolution of software and customer issues
Required Skills
- Excellent diagnostic and problem solving skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency programming in Fortran and C/C++
- Ability to work effectively in a rapidly changing environment
- Ability to work effectively in a remote or virtual team environment
- Bachelor degree in computer science or equivalent experience
Preferred Skills
- Experience with FPGAs or Electronic Design Analysis tools such as Xilinx ISE

Application Analyst
Mitrionics, a global leader in FPGA accelerated computing is expanding its presence in North America. To support our growing customer base we are hiring Application Analysts. Applicant must enjoy working on application development and helping customers understand the new programming tools and programming models so they can implement their own applications. Position involves influencing product roadmap to best benefit users.
Job Description
- Development, benchmarking, consultation, and software technical support to scientists and users
- Work on diverse application domains and solve technical issues
- Work with our development engineers to isolate tool chain problems
- In-depth performance analysis of existing scientific applications, and rewriting time critical loops in Mitrion-C
- Assist in the timely resolution of software and customer issues
- Assist in training of on-site users
- On-site user support
- Interact with all levels of management including senior levels
- Requires less than 15% travel
Required Skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Minimum of 4 years HPC related development and/or user support experience
- Proficiency programming in Fortran and C/C++, using one or more of MPI, OpenMP, or Pthreads
- Ability to work effectively in a rapidly changing environment
- Ability to work effectively in a remote or virtual team environment
- Bachelor degree in computer science or equivalent experience
Preferred Skills
- Experience with FPGAs or Electronic Design Analysis tools such as Xilinx ISE
